Jim Root jumped into photography after retiring from 26 years with the Department of Defense. He specializes in product and commercial photography, often using dynamic lighting, color, and motion to add a sense of energy to his images. When he’s not behind a camera or writing about himself in the third person, Jim can be found on the golf course or fly fishing. Jim is based in Colorado Springs where he lives with his wife of 35 years.
